If you are thinking of applying to progress to another course at Highlands you need to apply NOW! You can do this through ORB and the deadline is next Friday, 3^rd February. Speak to your Personal Tutor as soon as possible.

The LRC will close at 6.00 pm Thursday 12th Jan.

Celebrate Diversity competition

Many thanks to those who entered the Christmas Diversity competition. The entries have been displayed in the Hall, but we now need the space back, so could you please collect your entries by Thursday afternoon, 5th January. There are lots of fantastic entries, so please collect them and take them back to your faculty, otherwise sadly, we will have to dispose of them.

Access homedrive from outside college now available

The ability to access your homedrive from outside the college is now available. Please follow the link on HC Moodle, any feedback on the new software is welcome.

If you are trying to email any college staff who has @highlands.ac.uk email address, please remember that the MAXIMUM attachment size per email is 10MB.

Most email providers will respond back to you stating why the email you sent failed.
For instance google mail will return a helpful reply to you:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 552 552 4.3.1 Message size exceeds fixed maximum message size (state 18).

However, hotmail will just return:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

Which as you can see is not very helpful!

If you receive the above error message, please make sure your email is under 10MB in size, the email address is correct and try sending it again.
